Police Memorial Day May 15, 2006

by DPCPAAA President Sylvia Garlowich

Sylvia Garlowich, president DPCPAAAPolice Memorial Day: I wish to extend my thanks to all members who attended this morning's Law Enforcement Memorial ceremonies at the police department today. It was a wonderful ceremony that made us all think of how blessed we are in Deer Park. Our officers put their lives on the line for us everyday. We have never experienced losing an officer and I hope we never feel that Loss.

DPCPAAA members that helped at the memorial celebrationThe Chief of Police from Pasadena gave a speech and one of the slain officer's father also spoke. Pasadena has lost three officers.

After the memorial, the Deer Park officers were treated to two large cakes that was donated by a neighbor of Liddy and on. They were perfect, one chocolate and the other white. Wal-mart donated two trays full of sandwiches.

Again, thank all of the volunteers for today. A special thanks to Liddy for her efforts to make it all happen.
