IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW: Our DPPD is fortunate to receive a very generous operating budget each year which accounts for salaries, planned improvements, fixed assets and operating expenses, etc! However, like any household, there is never enough money to cover special circumstances and "wishlist expenses" that present themselves throughout the year! Also... contrary to popular belief, the Police Department DOES NOT receive any monies from writing tickets and collecting fines!!!
