The Deer Park Police Department and the Deer Park Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association

would like to thank the citizens of Deer Park and many local  businesses for their generous donations

and continued support of  our fundraising campaigns.

WE THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR DEER PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT!

THE "DPCPAAA" IS A NON-PROFIT 501 (c)(3) ORGANIZATION AND WE PROUDLY SERVE AND SUPPORT THE DEER PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT.  ALL OF THE PROCEEDS AND DONATIONS WE RECEIVE ARE USED

TO BENEFIT THE DPPD, OUR GREAT DEER PARK POLICE OFFICERS AND OUR COMMUNITY!

On August 18, 2017, members of our Deer Park Police Department came together to host a community-wide Blood Drive / BBQ fundraiser in support of Deer Park Officer Brandon Williams and his 2 year-old daughter, Peyton!    Our Deer Park Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association was proud to support and help fund this worthwhile community event!   It gave our entire community an opportunity to rally-around and show support for our Police Department and Officer Williams.

Our Deer Park Police Department is always looking for opportunities enhance community relations

and to bridge-the-gap between the department, it's officers and it's citizens.  It is the goal of the DPCPAAA to support our PD in that endeavor!

YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS TO THE DPCPAAA MAKE IT POSSIBLE !

MARCH 25TH, 2017; DPPD PRESENTS FREE COMMUNITY-WIDE SHRED DAY & FOOD DRIVE!

While these shred-events are free to our community, they are not actually "free" as the rate for the shred-truck is $200 per hour.  It may seem expensive, but it's an important service that our Police Department and Alumni Association wants to "give back" to our citizens for their generous support!

Because of the overwhelming response to last Saturday's DPPD Shred Day / Food Drive, the shred truck filled quickly and we had to turn many of our citizens away.  Not wanting to disappoint our community,  we've scheduled "SHRED MAKE-UP DAY" SAT. APRIL 8TH; 10 - 1PM.

The Deer Park Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association is proud to serve and support our Deer Park Police Department!  The monies we receive from donations and fundraisers are used to benefit our awesome police department and officers... AND SOMETIMES OUR COMMUNITY!

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE DEER PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT!

Here's the latest item that your generous donations helped our association purchase for the PD's weight room!  It's a brand new, commercial-grade treadmill!!!   Items like this are not covered by police department budgets, but they mean so much to our deserving officers!  Your donations and support of our various fundraisers make this possible!

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE DEER PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT!

Last year (2016) , your generous donations made it possible for our Association to provide our officers with a NEW "RED MAN" TACTICAL TRAINING SUIT!  Their old one was pretty beat up!  The Velcro straps were coming loose and the suit no longer offered adequate protection during full-on baton training!   Our officers use this Red Man suit to practice their offensive and defensive combat tactics.  This training helps them safely subdue an unruly suspect and may help them survive an attack on the streets.

Early in 2016, it came to our attention that the PD's weight room was due for a much needed upgrade!  The DPPD emphasizes physical fitness and many of our officers use this weight room and equipment several times a week  Your generous donations made it possible for us to present this new "Pro-Maxima" Power Rack Weight System to the department!

While most of our officers use this equipment to stay in shape, some members of our department have used it to train for a very special competition; the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. In addition to a wide range of leadership and specialized training courses they receive,  fitness is emphasized at the National Academy, and the culmination of the fitness challenge is the “Yellow Brick Road,” a grueling 6.1-mile run through a hilly, wooded trail built by the Marines.  Along the way, the participants must climb over walls, run through creeks, jump through simulated windows, scale rock faces with ropes, crawl under barbed wire in muddy water, maneuver across a cargo net, and more.  When (and if) the students complete this difficult test, they receive an actual yellow brick to memorialize their achievement!

Lt. John Yettevich is the latest member of the Deer Park Police Department to attend the academy; but he's not the only one who owns a "Yellow Brick"!   Click HERE to see who else earned one!

A while back, when our department began upgrading vehicles to the new Tahoe's, our officers saw a need for a way to organize everything they were required to carry in their vehicles!   After weeks of talking to other departments to find out which organizers they used and where they get them, our department settled on a reputable supplier that custom builds and installs these durable organizers.

Your generous donations made it possible for our association to purchase the very first Tahoe-Organizer for our department!   That first organizer was so well received that they are now in our PD's budget, and are "standard-issue" in every new Tahoe that our department puts into service!

TRADITIONAL ROAD FLARES ARE DANGEROUS!

  • They pose a fire hazard...

  • They only last 12 to 15 minutes...

  • They leave an ash/residue on the pavement...

  • They are a danger to people and passing vehicles...

Your generous donations made it possible for us to purchase a set of these Durable - Rechargeable LED Road Flares for each patrol unit!   These LED Safety Flares are safer and much brighter than a standard road flare!  They are practically indestructible and last for hours on a single charge, eliminating the need for officers to constantly approach moving lanes of traffic to replace burned-out road flares.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR DEER PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT!

FINALLY...  Whenever possible, the Deer Park Police Department is proud to giveback to the Community!  Your generous donations make it possible for our DPPD to sponsor events such as

"DPPD COMMUNITY-WIDE SHRED DAY" & "DPPD ELECTRONICS RECYCLING DAY" & "TEAM PEYTON"!
