~YOUR DONATIONS AT WORK ~
The Deer Park Police Department and the Deer Park Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association
would like to thank the citizens of Deer Park and many local businesses for their generous donations
and continued support of our fundraising campaigns.
WE THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR DEER PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT!
THE "DPCPAAA" IS A NON-PROFIT 501 (c)(3) ORGANIZATION AND WE PROUDLY SERVE AND SUPPORT THE DEER PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT. ALL OF THE PROCEEDS AND DONATIONS WE RECEIVE ARE USED
TO BENEFIT THE DPPD, OUR GREAT DEER PARK POLICE OFFICERS AND OUR COMMUNITY!
Here's the latest item that your generous donations helped our association purchase for the PD's weight room! It's a brand new, commercial-grade treadmill!!! Items like this are not covered by police department budgets, but they mean so much to our deserving officers! Your donations and support of our various fundraisers make this possible!

Early in 2016, it came to our attention that the PD's weight room was due for a much needed upgrade! The DPPD emphasizes physical fitness and many of our officers use this weight room and equipment several times a week Your generous donations made it possible for us to present this new "Pro-Maxima" Power Rack Weight System to the department!
While most of our officers use this equipment to stay in shape, some members of our department have used it to train for a very special competition; the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. In addition to a wide range of leadership and specialized training courses they receive, fitness is emphasized at the National Academy, and the culmination of the fitness challenge is the “Yellow Brick Road,” a grueling 6.1-mile run through a hilly, wooded trail built by the Marines. Along the way, the participants must climb over walls, run through creeks, jump through simulated windows, scale rock faces with ropes, crawl under barbed wire in muddy water, maneuver across a cargo net, and more. When (and if) the students complete this difficult test, they receive an actual yellow brick to memorialize their achievement!
Lt. John Yettevich is the latest member of the Deer Park Police Department to attend the academy; but he's not the only one who owns a "Yellow Brick"! Click HERE to see who else earned one!
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR DEER PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT!
A while back, when our department began upgrading vehicles to the new Tahoe's, our officers saw a need for a way to organize everything they were required to carry in their vehicles! After weeks of talking to other departments to find out which organizers they used and where they get them, our department settled on a reputable supplier that custom builds and installs these durable organizers.
Your generous donations made it possible for our association to purchase the very first Tahoe-Organizer for our department! That first organizer was so well received that they are now in our PD's budget, and are "standard-issue" in every new Tahoe that our department puts into service!

TRADITIONAL ROAD FLARES ARE DANGEROUS!
-
They pose a fire hazard...
-
They only last 12 to 15 minutes...
-
They leave an ash/residue on the pavement...
-
They are a danger to people and passing vehicles...
Your generous donations made it possible for us to purchase a set of these Durable - Rechargeable LED Road Flares for each patrol unit! These LED Safety Flares are safer and much brighter than a standard road flare! They are practically indestructible and last for hours on a single charge, eliminating the need for officers to constantly approach moving lanes of traffic to replace burned-out road flares.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR DEER PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT!
FINALLY... Whenever possible, the Deer Park Police Department is proud to giveback to the Community! Your generous donations make it possible for our DPPD to sponsor events such as
"DPPD COMMUNITY-WIDE SHRED DAY" & "DPPD ELECTRONICS RECYCLING DAY" & "TEAM PEYTON"!
